After doing through a few other bags I have finally found a winner! Some of the other bags that I have used developed problems that made them unusable such as corroded zippers and seams ripping out after just a few uses. Here is what makes these Mares bags different... The zippers are made from non-corrosive materials and stay clean and in perfect working order. The handle straps wrap all the way around the bag in such a way as to add stability and distribute the weight, avoiding heavy spots that rip out the seams. The bags make perfect rinse bags. So easy to just through all the equipment into the bag, rinse, and hang to dry. The mesh allows for plenty of water to enter the bag for rinsing and my equipment dries thoroughly. And did I mention how large this bag is? It is huge! It easily fits my reg set up, BC, mask, fins, snorkel, weights and belt, a towel, and my wetsuit. With room to spare! If you are only taking snorkeling gear it would carry gear enough for 2-3 people. Even extra long fins fit into this bag. The only thing that I would change would be to add clips and a shoulder strap so that it could be carried on my shoulder. That would make this great bag even better!I thought this was one of those rubber coated mesh bags - it's not, the mesh is soft fabric. It's still fairly strong, but not as good as the rubber coated kind. This does mean it packs down nice and small though, if that matters. It's also big enough to hold everything for cold water diving - 8/7mm wetsuit, vest BCD, fins, masks, hood, towel, etc.It has one pocket on the end which the bag can pack into, but the zipper pull is on the inside of the pocket when the bag handles are right side out, which is somewhat annoying.I find this bag plus a magnacart folding handcart makes a great travel rig for the ferry or boat. I just use a long bungee and wrap the bag to the handles a couple of times. And I can replace the bag + cart three times over before I've equaled the cost of a good rolling dive bag. I set my weight bag on the blade of the hand cart below this bag, and then hold my cylinder cross ways on top of this bag, and can walk with my whole rig easily.Good diving bag. Quality of mesh is a lot better than my other mesh bags. Zipper is in good quality and have no issues so far. Good thing about this bag is the size. It fit my long fins (apnea) perfectly, mask, snorkel and booties and other a pair of smalls fins too. I try to minimize the bags I bring on dive trips so this is a good all around bag as you can also use this to bring your wetsuit (plus extra clothes) together with dive gear.Haven’t test it out yet on dives so I do not know how durable it is when exposed to salt water but it seems others have not problems with it.On a different note, I just wish they had a better design for the side compartment. You can still use it but you need to access the zipper from the inside which is not really convenient. This is a well made mesh bag about 34" long. It is for scuba gear and that is why it is so large. I swim in a pool, but I put in two pairs of fins (short and long), pull buoy, hand paddles, water aerobics dumbbells, and a kick board which still leaves plenty of room to spare. Clean up is easy. I leave everything in it and run it under the shower and then hang it up to let it drip dry. At the time of my purchase, there was a smaller bag made by the same company which was abut 30" long. I wish I had bought that one instead. I gave it 4 stars because it's more bag than I need or maybe I should take up scuba diving. Fit freediving fins, along with all other gear (including wetsuit AND weightbelt), a towel, spare clothes, some snacks, water, and conditioner/wetsuit lube. Thought I'd tear the bag, but it barely seems to be struggling when loaded that way. I wish it was the coated mesh stuff, but this is plenty durable as-is. Also dries fairly quickly. This bag folds into itself, so you can load it into other luggage when traveling. When unpacked, its outer "case" becomes an internal pocket. Kind of lame how the zipper isn't double-sided, to make access easier, but it still works to separate a few important/discrete items in the bag.Ended up buying another one for the lady to use, but most of the time we just squeeze as much as we can into just one bag, and carry small snacks/water separately.Used for my scuba gear. Worked well although not for travel. I used it to toss my gear in the back of my car/jeep to goto the local lakes to dive. Eventually bought a non mesh bag with rollers for travel and gave this one to my brother for his dive gear. Only think I would warn is the netting can snag on things both in and outside of he bag so don't drag it when unloading out of the back of a vehicle. Also, due to the loose design (it is made of netting) it does not work well for additional weights like I prefer to keep in my bag.I picked this up for my SCUBA gear. I am a new diver so it is not completely stuffed yet (still need to order BCD and Regs.) The large zipper allows to move anything I need around and slide stuff in and out without an issue. Feels very sturdy and when not in use it zips into one of the circle ends. I would purchase again and recommend to others looking for this style of bag. One thing I would like added is the large strap from end to end. This bag only has the shopping bag style handles. They work fine, they are just not comfortable for longer walks to the boat or dive site.I use this bag for my kayaking gear. It’s large opening easily allows- PFD, spray skirt, wet suit, neoprene boots, dry bag, gloves, throw bag w/rope, helmet and whatever lunch I take- into it and each item is easy to reach without dumping the whole bag. The mesh is very sturdy. Downside- wish it had some loops on the ends for carabiners. I plan to add them myselfAppears to be well made. The idea of folding everything away in a nice little pouch is a great idea. Keeps everything together. It sure is a long bag though. When I opened the pouch and pulled the bag I felt like one of those magicians pulling scarfs from a top hat.Too long for me. Not sure why they made it sooo long put I'm sure there's a reason.I will be returning it. I find it's length unnecessary. This bag was SPECIFICALLY purchased to store, and carry, my SCUBA gear! IT'S FREAKIN' HUGE!!! It's large enough for 2 sets of find, mask, snorkel, dive knife, regulator, another SMALLER SAME bag, in which I have my towels, swim trunks, rash preventing 1 piece suit, shirt, shorts etc.!AND THERE'S STILL TONS MORE SPACE FOR MORE!Ich habe die Tasche auf Gran Canaria ausprobiert und darin meine gesamte Tauchausrüstung bei Fahrten zu den Tauchplätzen verstaut. Alles prima. These bags and similar are way to big to carry travel fins, snorkelling gear, rash guards, care products etc. We ended up returning it and using the 65 L Cressi Crete which was the perfect size to carry the gear for TWO people.
