I have always enjoyed this brand. The narrow fit properly but the shoes were uncomfortable after an hour. The insole didn't have enough cushioning.I just got these shoes today. I bought them to take with me on a trip to Europe where I want and need comfort. I have orthotics that I also bought, and will use for those days where we will do a lot of walking.First - the fit is absolutely amazing. They are EXTREMELY light weight, which takes a lot of burden off of my feet. Secondly, they are unbelievably comfortable. I wear a size 7 wide normally, and I purchased a 7W and they are right on. Finally, they are so stinking adorable and current, they were exactly what I was hoping for.I will come back and update this review when I get back from Europe in the spring. Hopefully, they will serve me well.Only negative note - I can see that the upper material is mesh covered with suede. Someone somewhere reviewed that these do not do well in the rain, and that your feet will get wet. There is no doubt in my mind that this is true. So, that is the reason I gave them a 4.Propet shoes are one of the few brands which are affordable and have hard-to-fit extra wide widths. I wear an 8.5ww in most shoes but have learned that this style of shoe runs a little smaller so I opted for the 9ww. This is an incredibly comfortable shoe with very little breaking-in needed. I have wide and thick feet - think Fred Flintstone. These shoes give me a lot of toe room and don't cut into the top of my feet even when they are a little swollen. This color is actually almost a maroon or crimson color and not the vibrant red that my color monitor displays - it's actually a prettier deeper fall color than is shown. I'm a die hard Razorback fan and this color matches some of my Razorback shirts, etc. and is definitely NOT Ole Miss burgundy LOL! The pull-string laces are definitely a little different for me so I've had to adjust the laces a few times before I got them really comfortable. Shoes have good arch support and cushioning... I wouldn't run a marathon in them but for regular errands and shopping or playing in the park these shoes are perfect.Love them, super light and comfortable. They fit my foot perfect. I'm wearing thin socks so thicker socks I'd need a bigger size. They look great. Glad for the back pull on flap as no way you could just slip your foot into them. Hoping in time they stretch a little, then I could wear thicker socks. Haven't tried them with my ortho inserts but have a feeling they will be tight fitting on top of the foot but the insoles do come out, just not sure enough room for ortho inserts. For now as they are new, the insoles that come with them are fine.I got the size I normally buy and I think if I went 1/2 up there'd be too much toe room. Normal width and that's what it is, normal.Very comfy to walk in. I would recommend these shoes and would for sure buy again.I wanted to get some decent quality walking shoes for traveling that did not add more weight to my luggage. These were recommended to me by a co-worker who travels a lot. I cannot believe how lightweight these are and how comfortable. I ordered the taupe and the indigo colors. The taupe is darker than pictured but the indigio was pretty close to the picture. These are not scotchguarded nor washable like some of the other suede shoes Propet makes, but one can always spray a suede protector on them. They come with 2 insoles, one more structed and the other is more for padding, I will probaly switch out the padding one with a better quality one. The suede is perforated to allow air circulation. The toe box is pretty roomy which I prefer, I like to be able to wiggle my toes while wearing shoes. They also come with a bag for travel which is nice. I am not real wild about the bungee laces, but I can always switch them out with regular laces if they should break or lose their elastic tendacies. The price on Amazon with free shipping was the best deal I found online for this particular style.I believe I'd have really liked this shoe, but I had to return them because they ran very narrow, it seemed. I have a wide toe box with a narrow heel, but I have never needed "wide" shoes. My feet hung over the sole of these shoes on both feet. I actually was really disappointed because they looked great! Also, I use a heel lift inside one of my shoes, only at the heel, and Foot Levelers insoles, ordered from my husband's clinic (chiropractic), and they fit snugly inside but ok. I mention this because I did not feel what the insole and arch support would be like, due to these things; plus, I only had them on for maybe 5 minutes. Only problem was the width and hanging over both sides of the sole.I work loooooooog 12 hour shifts...on my feet...at night...I need good shoes, I mean really good shoes...NO skimping. These puppies fit the bill. These are so light you have to hold them down to get them on ; >...no, just kiddin'... but you hardly realize that you are wearing shoes!. I have wide wide feet, so at first ordered these in a C/D size, but they were too narrow, so returned, and got the E size. Total tootsie treat!! I don't need a lot of arch support...so if you do these may not work for you. Also the elastic-shoelace-closurer thingy, I have never had before, but it soooo easy to use, and getting the shoes off and on is fast and easy...MUCH better that tying and untying laces. These are really cool looking shoes too...I have had younger co-workers remark on how cute they were and how small they make my(8 1/2 E width) feet look...so this old Mom's feet are smokin' cool while still being truly happy.
