I very much wanted a hammock to use around campus where I go to school, and looked at all the various options, and found a plethora of the polyester style hammocks which pack great and are very light, but after borrowing a buddies hammock of this style found it to be rather uncomfortable, and makes that annoying rustling of polyester sound with any move. If you are looking primarily for a hammock to bring on a camping trip, this is undoubtedly not the hammock for you, it is heavier, bulkier and absorbs water more than a polyester one would and just is most certainly not the option for you. That said, this hammock is perfect for me. I wanted a good quality, comfortable, cozy, sturdy hammock that I can bring with me around campus and sling up to do so home work or get a nap between classes or something. (living on a campus that is literally on a nature preserve makes it super easy to find a quick place to throw up a hammock for a little bit. In the 3ish weeks I have owned my hammock, I have used it maybe a dozen times, I love it. It is very much more comfortable than the packing polyester hammocks and it is made well enough hat I have no fears that it will give out on me anytime soon.side note: This hammock comes with two blue braided ropes both of roughly 5ish feet long that will work for a little bit if you have nothing to hang up the hammock, but i would recommend going to Home Depot and getting some rope (I found that two lengths of 10 feet work just perfectly for me)tl;dr - Not for camping. Very comfortable. Great buy. Get rope.
