I just read this book (from my local library) and found it invaluable for planning my trip to Peru. I am not interested in Machu Picchu, like all the other guide books focus on, I was glad to see Hilary covers all regions of the country. I am researching an early 1900s explorer to Peru, Annie Peck, and see that Hilary covers the Corillera Blanca, and even the off-the-beaten trails in the Raura Range and around Mount Coropuna, Ariquipa that Peck promoted as future travel destinations. I found the descriptions and maps helpful.
